So I've got to shout out my friend Connie Powell!!!! She's a brand new crafty coach with Fun Stampers Journey. You can check out all their goodies online. So they're a new company and let me tell ya I didn't know I thing about them, I was helping out a fellow crafty friend. First stop was their True Color Fusion Ink. TALK ABOUT A NEW FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it works with copics no heat setting needed. I gave it a test run on a card last night. Check out that post here. I also used it to distress a portion of the front of the card. I used the Lemon Drop Yellow, talk about POP!! Loved it! It created an awesome monochromatic effect which was just what I was looking for. I have a stamp to check out too, but I haven't made it to that yet. The inks alone make me very happy with the Fun Stampers Journey products. Be sure to check them out!!!

Back to School
It's that time of year when all the kiddos are getting new gear to take them back to school. I usually send my Godson off with something for the new year, this year, it's a lunch box, and as usual some school uniforms. I won't have time to get to him to buy them so I'm sending a card his way and he can shop for himself, you know kids love that! So I fell in love with this card that Amy R of Prairie Paper & Ink created a little over a week ago and had to do it myself! Check out her card here. I'm not a huge card maker, I'm all about scrapbook pages and lately organization. So It took me a while, to get it all together.
So talk about complete devistation!!! I had just finished the hair and skin and wasn't about to do that over when my grass green copic marker leakes all over the apple. There was no fixing that so onto finding a way to hide it!

L-O-V-E Recipe challenge
Another challenge is complete!! I finished it last night, but was too tired to get the post up. This is for Our Daily Bread. I don't own any of their stamps yet, but I really need to get some. Scrappy Weekend
The weekend has come to an end, but I got a few pages done while I was around the house on Saturday which was nice. Here they are!!
Mom and I go to ICE at the Gaylord every year on my birthday. It's just the coolest thing to see all the things they can make out of ice. The Theme this year was the Night Before Christmas. We loved it as always.

Addition to the Copic coloring book
A quick addition to the Copic coloring book that I made yesterday...I added a file folder to the back to make a pocket for the copic color chart! Now the whole books doesn't have to go to the store when buying new markers. I also added a piece is transparency film that can be taken out and placed behind the page that's being colored so there are no bleeding issues. I snapped a quick pic with my phone. It turned out great so I had to share. Enjoy!

Newest Project - Copic Coloring Book
I finally finished my Copic coloring book. I have been working on this for a while. I got the idea from Michelle at my favorite scrapbook store, Scrapdoodles. The book is a half piece of letter size paper. I used Copic Express It paper for all of the pages. The cover is chipboard. I sprayed it with Dylusions Spray Mists in various colors on the inside and out. The title is cut using a font on the Creative Memories Vacation cartridge. I used a glitter black paper for the title. The binding wire is a purple metallic 1 inch Cinch wire. I used my Cinch machine to bind it together. Super easy book and now I can practice coloring anywhere!!

Eastover Baptist Retreat Center
What a great weekend away. I spent it with 26 lovely ladies at the Eastover Baptist Retreat Center in Surry, VA. The drive from my house was 5 hours, but it was well worth it and I think Mom and I have decided that it will be a yearly event. So for Mom it was camping, for everyone else, not so much. Yes we were in the woods, all the the way in the woods. No TV, no wifi (unless you had verizon hotspot) and limited cell service. Thankfully I have Verizon so we were ok. We rented a mini-van because we thought we needed to bring everything under the sun for 4 days of cropping with no store within 45 minutes of the retreat center, but it was worth all the packing. I finally got started on scrapbooking the pictures from Disney. I have a bunch but I finished the majority of my Animal Kingdom Pictures. Here are a few of the layouts.
My Cricut and Silhouette got a workout over the weekend. I also managed to use up the Zoo paper from Creative Memories, I had 2 packs of that. I also used up a few packs of old stickers I had laying around in my stash. My goal over the weekend was to use up a few things and to use some new things that I had purchased. I did use my new Lawn Fawn Critters on the Savanna stamps and the matching dies. They were a ton of fun to color with my Copics. I also got to use my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher that I purchased from Scrapdoodles a few months ago. The girls in the store were hilarious, they said that having the tiny attacher would be life changing. Well....I LOVE IT!!! I used it a lot over the weekend and it will be a "staple" for sure in my stash now, HA!!!

Ready for some Football!!!
So I've been home with the flu for the past week. Thankfully I can work from home at my full time job so I've been able to work get paid and rest. I'm thankful for that. In the mean time I came up with this great idea for a Super Bowl party page. I'm rooting for the 49ers this year since that was my Dad's team, but I'm a Skins fan all the way!
For the party invitation I used The Greeting Farm Sitting Casual Stamp set and the Authentique 6x6 Paper Pad Free Bird Poised and Warmth. I colored Ian with copics. His clothes and the sofa are paper peiced using the Echo Park A Boy's Life paper pack. The Sentiment is stamped on the Stampin Up key tag punch which has been discontinued.
I also made little flags for cupcakes using a stamp from The Greeting Farm Sitting Casual Stamp set.
Finally I created a scrapbook page because of course as a scrapbooker you take pictures of Everything!!! All of the stamps are from The Greeting Farm Sitting Casual Stamp Set. I used the Teddy Bears On Parade Cricut cartridge for the Teddy Bears. I cut everything else with the Silhouette. The footballs, grass, and goal post are from Miss Kates Cuttables Football MVP. Miss Kate has the best SVG files and great prices!! I'm in love with her website. For the title I used the Porky's Font from Fontspace. For the banner I learned a great trick over the weekend. I used a paper plate and wax paper. I poured Modge Podge on the wax paper and dipped twine it it. I let the twine dry to it would start to harden. Before it was completely dry I stuck it to the scrapbook page so it looked like the string holding up the banner. It was so easy and turned out so cute!!! I'm super thankful for that great tip from Michelle and Scrapdoodles in Fredericksburg.

Fall Card
Can you believe it's HALLOWEEN tomorrow. The year is flying by that's for sure. I had a second about a week ago to make a fall card. I used the September Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart for this one. The happy sentiment came from an Amy R stamp set. The leaves were cut with the Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosphy Cartridge.
On a side note, the card base is the new David Tuterra card bases at JoAnn's. I have to say honestly I'm not a huge fan of these card bases. They seem a little flimsy if you ask me. They are also pretty expensive and for now you can use a coupon, but they never go on sale.
