So, I finally broke down and got a new rolling cart.  Yeah, I know was it really that hard to talk myself into this one, nope not a bit.  I have a friend who has one.  Ms. Sara W Andrews posted a pick of her's in use in her scrapbook room here.  My favorite twine using blogger, Debbie Bugjuiced, has one too, here's her review.  So after these two ladies had purchased them I was in!! I'm currently storing my small punches, cuttlebug, and trimmers on it.  I'm sure that will change as I keep reorganzing the chaos my scrapbook room as become.  If you don't have an Ikea near you, here it is on their website!!! Packed for a week away

I have spent the last several days OVER-PACKING for a week with my Mom and friend Emma scrapbooking!!! We're so excited!!! I always bring entirely too much but it's a ton of fun to get to relax, have girl talk, and just have a plain good time. We can't wait; thankfully my Mom has a truck or I think I would have to rent something to drive myself to our scrapbooking location. Have a scrappy weekend everyone!!!

It's not so bad

So I started page planning for the first time after my class at my LSS last weekend. At first I didn't like it and I felt like it took entirely to long but after a few groups of pictures I got a rhythm and it was pretty fun. I haven't ventured into actually cutting the things I need but at least I have selected pictures, paper, embellishments and even picked page titles and put everything together in one place. I think my favorite part is that it is actually making me use my stash and I'm loving that!! I'm also more creative and thinking outside the box so that's great too. So if you have never tried it you really should give it a shot!!

Copic Marker App!!!

I'm probably really late, but I had to share this.  I found a copic marker app for my Iphone!!  There is a very lucky lady in this world who's husband created a copic marker app for her so now we can all benefit!!! Whoever he is he's fabulous to me!!  Android users can use it too!!! A little Organization

Since most of us are always looking for ways to transport our scrappy stuff to and from crops I had to tell you about my latest idea. So I own a Cricut and a Silouette. I try to always take both of them with me depending on where I'm going and how long I'll be there. I have a bag for the Silouette and I have a bag for the Cricut. I've decided I'm tired of taking two separate bags for each machine and it's corresponding stuff. I wanted a solution that I could put both machines an all of the stuff that goes with them; Mats, laptop, cords, and whatever else. Well I FOUND IT!!! Singer® Futura Quartet Rolling Sewing Machine Case. I bought mine from HSN on Flexpay. It's perfect.  Here are a few pictures for ya!

Yes there are straps to hold the machines in place.  There are also pockets on each side of the bag.  There is a pocket on the outside as well.

There is a handle that collapses and wheels just like a suitcase.

There is also a bag to hold all of the mats as well and it fits inside the large bag.

Now for a little room organization.  As you can see from the background of my pictures, which I took with my Ipad by the way. I'm in the middle of some reorganization. I finally found the perfect paper solution for myself and I had to share it with everyone.  The Thirty-One Your Way Cubes!!! I had each of them embroidered with what type of paper is in them.  I added tabs between the brands and cardstock colors and labled them.  The Cropper Hopper dividers fit perfectly in the cubes and the cubes themselves fit perfectly in my Ikea Expedit. 

 

My next new organizational thing is the Large Organizer from Close To My Heart.  They will be available for purchase on the 1st of February, yes I'm a consultant so I bought mine already.  I actually bought a second one but it's not here yet.  They hold 40 stamps or so.  I have 44 in mine.  Since I was able to move paper out of my cubes from Michals and into my Expedit I decided I would take the shelves out of the other cubes and put my new stamp holders in them.  I did leave one shelf in a the top for small things.

I hope this post helps someone get ore organized.  I know I'm getting there however very slowly.  Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

The Current State of my Scrapbook Room

I attended a great class this morning at my local A.C. Moore.  I was actually tagging along with my Mom and our friend Tammy.  They both have brand new Cricut Expression 2 machines.  I have had my machine a while, but I always use it with my Gypsy so I never really learned what the functions were, hence my tagging along.  Well, it was an absolutely fabulous class!!! The nice lady Marsha that taught the class did a great job explaining every function that was available.  We learned a few differences between the Expression and Expression 2 which was also really nice and I have to say I actually started to miss some of the easy functionality of my old Expression.  Of course I'm not tempted enough to actually buy an old one, but I do miss a few things now.  My next class I would like to attend is one on layering.  That is my favorite part of the Cricut Expression so I really think it would do everyone some good to take a class like that.  I think they should include some information about the Cricut Craftroom which I also know nothing about or a class on the Gypsy for those of us that still have them.  Anyway, it was a fabulous class!! On to the state of my scrapbook room.  So yesterday I was inspired by the nice lady over at the Crafty Storage Blog to take a picture of my scrapbook room with all it's mess.  So here it goes -

As you can see it's a ridiculous mess.  You can also see it has been reorganized since my September post.  One day I'll get around to doing a tour but that of course would require me to actually clean it up.  I'm working on that part.  So there really isn't an explanation as to my it's a complete mess but part of it is the endless projects I've been doing for other people and my last design team project.  I've also been all over the place changing things around so the old stuff is still sitting in there.  See no real excuse, HA!! 

I do have a ton of new stuff that needs to be added into the room, but as my previous post, Cataloging Stamps, shows I do have a process.  Here is one organziational tip for the weekend.  Anytime I buy something new it gets put in this basket so that I can add the info to my stamp book, spellbinders book, cricut book, or where ever it goes.

I'm hoping to get all this new stuff in the correct place which will "hopefully" lead to a scraproom clean up.

What a whirlwind of a holiday season.  So, now I'm back.  I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to do a thing in my scrapbook room.  So what do I have planned for 2013, A LOT!!!!  I've already started some organizing so I'll have a few posts coming up about that.  I've completed my last design team project for the Create Your Classroom Design Team.  I have quite a few reatreats I plan on attending this year with friends so I'll be posting pictures of that and of our creations while we're there.  So, that's the update. Here's to a great 2013 filled with happiness, scrapbooking, and love!

Can't win 'em all - But I Had a Fabulous Vacation

Well, I didn't make the Craft Critique Reporter team or the Design Team for The Cutting Cafe.  Of course I'm bumbed out, but you can't win 'em all.  I'm also super excited for the people that did make it.  I can't wait to read what the reporters post for Craft Critique that was always my go to blog for the newest scrappy thing I needed.  I will be purchasing some files from the Cutting Cafe after my new Silhouette arrives this week.  I'm dying to try out a few files.  So, it's not all bad.  In more fun news...I'M BACK FROM VACATION IN FLORIDA!!!!  My Mom and I had a fabulous time there for 7 days and are already planning to do it again in a few years.  We went to the parks, shopped, shopped, ate, and shopped some more.  I couldn't have asked for a better week away from reality.  I'm also very excited to start scrapbooking the INSANE amount of pictures that we took while we were there.  Since getting home yesterday I decorated for Christmas, managed to attempt to finish wrapping gifts, but that is now on hold because I ran out of wrapping paper.  Oh well, I guess I get to use that 20% discount from Hallmark for my birthday.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.  Hopefully I'll get back to being crafty soon :-)

So here it is, the finished science fair project that I helped with. I can't wait to see the big A+ on it when she gets her grade. In other news I should be finding out if I made the Craft Critique reporting team later this week and the Cutting Cafe Design Team towards the end of the weekend or early next week. I'm so excited. I know you can't win them all but it would be so cool if I did get it. Well crafty posts should returning soon like everyone else Christmas has taken over my life. Hope everyone is having a crafty Christmas season :-)

Updates!!!
