Engagement Album

So, the engagement album is ALMOST done.  I have a few more pages to go.  I tried to finish it while on an awesome vacation to Tennessee and Williamsburg, but that didn't go as planned.  I had to share this page because I finally got around to using the slice feature on my Cricut machine!!!  So cool, I can't wait to find more excuses to use it.  So I created a row of hearts.  Then I created a smaller heart and layered it on top of each heart and clicked the slice button; and there was a hole woohoo!!! So I did this 6 times, then welded them together and copy and pasted the row two more times and then welded the rows together.  There you have it your very own overlay!!!  The dots on the craft cardstock are from a dot background stamp that I randomly stamped all over the paper.  The rest of the supplies are listed under the photo.  Enjoy :-)

Doodle Crew Retreat February 2015 (Photo Heavy Post)

Last weekend was the Doodle Crew retreat in Glen Allen, VA.  I actually managed to get a lot of pages done after getting there late and laughing with great friends while I was there.  Here are a few of the pages that I finished of the Cruise I took with my Mom a few years ago.  Nothing in the world like the Mediterranean.

Amazing Cave tour in Katakolan

Arriving in Santorini was my favorite part of the trip.  The wind was so crazy my hair was all over the place.  Mom happened to snap this crazy picture so I had to put it in the book!!

Leaving Santorini was just like all the pictures you see in movies and on post cards.  Absolutely amazing!!!!

DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge

I'm playing along with the DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge this month.  I loved the sketch and immediately had a page in mind.  On my trip to Florida with my Mom we got to meet the Cat in the Hat.  All the characters met in a specific area in Suess Landing so we got a bunch of great pictures.  We also had a little fun in one of the shops trying on hats.

The Cat in the Hat is a print and cut design that I created using Silhouette Studio.  I used the My Sunshine DCWV Stack for this layout.  You can play along with the October Stack-A-Holic challenge too!! Check out their blog for the this months sketch and all of the directions!

Kiwi Lane Designs Product Review

One of my favorite purchases at the scrapbook expo were the borders, photo sets, and accessories from Kiwi Lane. Check out there site when you get a chance. They're great for page planning and cutting pictures to the perfect size without all the guess work. We've all cut a picture in the wrong spot before well these fix that problem! They're completely see through, you trace and cut, perfect every time!! Love the borders to use specific designs on the corner of a page without just having a boring straight cut. The accessories are nice too even if you just use them for placement and cut them with your Silhouette or Cricut. So check them out and enjoy my first page with them!! My borders are from the Madison Avenue set; I used the arrow and bracket from the Sweetheart set. I inked all of my edges with distress inks and I cut the film strip from Silhouette.

L-O-V-E Recipe challenge

Another challenge is complete!! I finished it last night, but was too tired to get the post up.  This is for Our Daily Bread. I don't own any of their stamps yet, but I really need to get some.  Their verses would be great on project life cards or any scrapbook page.  So in this challege I had to use the letters in the word LOVE to create my project.  In the words of one of my favorite little boys HERE GOES NOTHIN'!!

Scrappy Weekend

The weekend has come to an end, but I got a few pages done while I was around the house on Saturday which was nice.  Here they are!!

Mom and I go to ICE at the Gaylord every year on my birthday.  It's just the coolest thing to see all the things they can make out of ice.  The Theme this year was the Night Before Christmas.  We loved it as always.

So I've actually done quite a few pages since Christmas, but since some of them were for a gift I coulnd't post.  Not great pictures just a few I snapped with my cell phone.  So I helped my cousin with an album for her fiance who is just finishing up college and is a football player.  She did a scrapbook of all 5 years that he played.  Here are a few pages that I did for her.  It was so much fun helping her out and she even learned to like scrapbooking. 

We did one of my God Baby since she was born while her Dad was finishing college too.  That Stampin' Up Owl Punch is my new favorite thing!!!

I also did a quick page over the weekend of a Christmas party that I was at with my family.  We love our crazy selves!!! 

 

 

Scrapping Away!!

Spent the entire weekend with some great ladies!!!  I was back at the Easterover Retreat Center to get some pages done.  I"ll be posting some gradually over the next few days.  But first is my favorite page of the weekend.  I used the Silhouette for the number and banner.  The footballs are washi tape by Queen and Company.  The sentiments came from the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush Stamp set. 

 

Amazing Class at Scrapdoodles

So, I have actually been doing some scrapbooking lately, but nothing to post.  I'm trying something new for me, PAGE PLANNING. I took a class at Scrapdoodles last year to learn how to do it, but I just bothered to get into it.  I have to say I really love it!!! Now when I go to crops I'll be able to chat and put pages together, I can't wait!!! 

NOW, onto the new stuff I did today!! I took the Summer Love Mini Book class at Scrapdoodles.  Mini books have never really been my thing, I honestly really have never seen the need for them, but when I saw this on their blog I fell in love!!!  It was so much fun!! My friend Emma from VA Beach drove all the way down to take the class with me and she loved it too!  I learned a lot, of course bought a new product or two or three, and have already used them to do my "Homework" from the class.  Now if I could just tie an approrpirate bow, HA!!!  So here are a few pics of the book.
